Can I modify the gig in-flight if the scope and/or pricing needs to change?

If the gig was set as negotiate, then yes. For fixed price, no. When replying to a fixed price, you are accepting the terms and price set out in the gig. For more information, see our help centre gig section. Please note, any changes you make to the gig are additional and any price is additional to what has already been paid.

If I get introduced to someone via the gigexchange, should I complete all work through them in the future?

This is your choice. If you wish to use us simply for establishing trust with new relationships then take them off-platform once established, we are happy with that. We do not want our customers to feel like hostages. When you need a new relationship, we will be here for you again.

Why do I need to upload my passport or driving license?

You are uploading this information to Stripe, so they can validate you, which in turn builds trust for potential customers. This enhances the payment framework and yourself as a result, building another tier of trust and reputation inside our marketplace.

Are gig workers verified? Can I trust them?

All gig workers must be identity verified by Stripe when registering as a gig worker. This adds an additional level of trust to our platform. Because we offer a reputation service, you can also see all historical work conducted by the worker. This quickly builds trust within the marketplace, but also removes fraudsters and scammers. Any behaviour that breaches our platform standards results in those worker being removed from our platform.
